Galaxy Control Panel

Public betaSelf-hosted Discord bots · Windows 10 & 11

Keep the light green.

Galaxy Control Panel runs your Discord bots on your own PC. Its tray light stays green while every bot is up — and the panel’s whole job is keeping it that way.

  • The tray icon, greenGreen — every bot is up
  • The tray icon, greyGrey — a bot is down, and it’s being restarted
  • The tray icon, redRed — a bot is halted and waiting for you

The panel

Everything your bot does, on one screen.

Start, stop and restart. Read the log as it happens. Change any setting without opening a file.

Dashboard
See the whole bot on one screen. Six live tiles to start with — uptime, ping, errors, servers, members and commands run today — above a log you can search, filter and scroll back through. Flip on the advanced view and there are twenty-three, from memory and free disk to queue depth and when the next backup runs.
Settings
Change anything without opening a file. Every setting has a switch, across ten pages with one search box over all of them. Turn off a single command or a whole group in one press, and see which commands nobody ever uses.
Several bots
Run them side by side. One window, one tab per bot, each with its own token, settings and data folder. Free and Starter run one at a time, Pro runs three, and Fleet runs as many as you like.
Alerts
You hear about it first. When a bot goes offline the tray turns grey and a notification pops up. Run two bots and the other one DMs you.
Phone
Check in from anywhere. See how your bots are doing and restart them from your phone, over your own Tailscale network — never the open internet.
Watchdog
It steps in before anything breaks. Every five minutes it checks free disk, memory and the size of its own log against limits you set — 2 GB free by default. Cross one and it pauses the bot, DMs you Resume, Restart and Shut down buttons, and turns the tray red. A pause it started lifts itself once the reading is healthy again, and a Fire Drill button tests the whole chain while nothing is actually wrong.
Backups
Last night’s database is one click away. It backs itself up at 4am and keeps a month, each backup showing what’s inside it. Logs rotate weekly and are kept for 30 days, so they can’t be the thing that fills the drive.
Updates
Update in one click, undo in another. Each release is checked against its published SHA-256 before it installs, and your token, database and settings are never touched.

The bot

Bring a token. The bot comes with it.

Galaxy Control Panel ships with a full-featured bot. Switch on the parts your server wants — every feature and every command has its own switch.

Music

Search or paste a link. Queue, skip, seek, filters and autoplay, with a now-playing card that updates in place.

A shared playlist

One server-wide playlist named after your bot. Anyone can save the song that’s playing with one button.

Game stats

Rainbow Six Siege ranks, rank-point changes and a server leaderboard, refreshed every day. Runs on a free key you get yourself from the stats service.

AI chatStarter

@mention the bot and it answers. Use a key from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, xAI, Mistral, DeepSeek, Groq or OpenRouter — or a model running on your own PC with Ollama.

Moderation

Kick, ban, timeout, purge, slowmode and a mod log. Warnings can time someone out automatically.

Role menus

Buttons members press to give themselves a role, and press again to drop it.

Reminders

/remind set 2h take the pizza out — and they survive a restart.

Even teams

Split a voice channel into teams at random — or balanced by Siege rank.

Server logging

Joins, leaves, edits, deletes and voice moves. Every one ships switched off.

Setup

Running in about five minutes.

  1. Run the installer

Download the installer and open it. It installs into your own user folder, so it needs no admin rights.

    GalaxyControlPanelSetup.exe
  2. Let setup finish

The setup window fetches ffmpeg for music and checks everything is in place. One button does the lot.

    Nothing else to install
  3. Paste your bot token

Create a bot in the Discord Developer Portal and paste its token. Setup checks it with Discord before saving it.

Your app → Bot → Reset Token

Python and everything else it runs on come inside the installer, so there is nothing to install first.

Pricing

Free for one bot.

The download is free, needs no account, and is not a trial — one bot, with the whole panel, music and game stats, for as long as you like. The paid tiers add AI, more bots at once and the phone app. A free 30-day Pro key is yours for the asking in the Discord server.

Questions

Before you download.

Do I need a server or a paid host?

No. Galaxy Control Panel runs on your own Windows PC, and your bot is online whenever that PC is on. There’s no hosting bill and nobody else’s server in the middle.

What’s in Free, and what do the paid tiers add?

Free runs one bot at a time with the whole panel — moderation, logging, role menus, reminders, music and game stats — and it is not a trial. Starter adds AI chat. Pro adds three bots at once, the phone app, and the AI support bot in your tickets (from 1 January). Fleet runs as many bots as you like. A 30-day Pro key is free, asked for in the Discord server, so you can try all of it.

How does the licence key work?

Your account holds your keys — a 30-day one if you have asked for it, and any you buy. A key starts with GP1-. Paste it into the panel under Settings → Enter licence key and whatever it carries switches on straight away. The panel checks it on your own PC, so it keeps working offline and nothing is ever sent anywhere to check it.

Do I need an account to download it?

No. The download is free and asks for nothing. An account only matters once you pay: it is where the key you buy is kept, and where a trial key lands once you have asked for one in the Discord. The panel itself never asks you to sign in.

What happens when the 30-day key ends?

The panel carries on as Free: the first bot you started keeps running, any others stop, and AI chat switches off, along with the AI support bot if you had it. Music and game stats are Free, so they carry on. Your settings, database and playlists never went anywhere, and adding a key whenever you like switches everything back on — you just press Start on any bot that stopped.

Which AI can it use?

Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI), Gemini (Google), Grok (xAI), Mistral, DeepSeek, Groq and OpenRouter, with your own API key from any of them — or a model running on your PC with Ollama, which needs no key at all. You pay the provider directly for what the bot uses.

Where does my bot token go?

Into a settings file inside the Galaxy Control Panel folder on your PC, encrypted and tied to that PC — it is never written in a form anyone can read. A copy of the folder, a backup, or a zip you send someone for help carries nothing usable. Setup checks the token with Discord once before saving it. After that it is only ever used to connect your bot to Discord, and it never leaves your PC.

Can I run more than one bot?

Free and Starter run one at a time, Pro runs three, and Fleet runs as many as you like. Each bot gets its own token, tab, settings and data folder. Run two and they watch each other: if one goes offline, the other DMs you.

How do updates work?

Press Check for updates in the panel’s settings. The download is checked against the SHA-256 published beside it before anything installs. Your token, database and settings are never touched, and every replaced file is kept so you can undo it.

Windows says it protected my PC.

Windows shows that for installers from small publishers it hasn’t seen much of yet. Check your download is genuine first (next question), then choose More info → Run anyway.

How do I know a download is genuine?

Every release has a sha256.txt beside the installer. In PowerShell, run this in the folder you downloaded to, and check the two match:

Get-FileHash .\GalaxyControlPanelSetup-*.exe -Algorithm SHA256
Something has gone wrong. Where do I get help?

Ask in the support server — it is the fastest way, and an answer there is useful to the next person with the same problem. The same link is in the panel under Settings, on every page. If you would rather write, or you have no Discord account, it is support@galaxyforge.dev. It is one person answering either way, so give it a day or two.

Is this an official Discord app?

No. Galaxy Control Panel is made by Galaxy Inc. It isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord Inc.

Help

Someone is in there.

This is a public beta, so the server is where the fixes get decided. It is one person answering, and asking in the open means the next person with your problem finds it already answered.

  • Stuck in setup — bring the line the panel showed you. Most of it is one wrong token or a bot with no intents switched on.
  • A 30-day Pro key — ask for one in the server. It is free, it needs no card, and it switches on everything Pro has.
  • Found something broken — say so in the server. During the beta that is the whole point, and a fix ships as a one-click update.
  • Would rather not use Discord — support@galaxyforge.dev reaches the same person.

The same link lives in the panel under Settings, on every page, so support is never more than one click from where something went wrong.
